Owliver’s Obscure Observation: Using the fake name Gul Makai, Malala Yousafzai was only 11 when she started blogging about what life was like under the Taliban for the BBC.

The winners of this program will get access to a “lifetime of personalized support, including scholarships, mentorship, and access to funding to develop their ideas”(BBC News). What more could a change-maker need?

The program is looking for people who can solve the world’s most troubling challenges, such as climate change and inequality. But, they won’t be judging based on your grades or test scores. No, they are going to look at your ability to engage with your community, be kind, and put yourself in the shoes of another. The application process seeks out those that can demonstrate perseverance, empathy, and integrity.

Well, if you think all this sounds like you, what are you waiting for. Applications are now open until January 29, 2021. Go here to get started with the application process. Good luck saving the world!
