NASA and its followers got an early Christmas present. On Christmas Eve, NASA launched its long-awaited James Webb Space Telescope. 🔭

After being launched from an Ariane 5 rocket, the James Webb Telescope hopes to discover outer worlds that we have never seen before.

It was a special launch for many in the space community. Throughout the pandemic, space crews worked hard to finish up the telescope. Even though COVID-19 brought their countries apart, all the agencies came together to finally finish the Telescope. They even beat the launch timeline by about a week, as initially the Telescope was supposed to launch sometime in 2022.

The James Webb Telescope was so big, the space crews made it foldable to fit it into the storage compartment of the rocket.

We can’t wait to see another big launch like this coming up in 2022!
