Baby Shark, doo doo doo doo…you know how it goes! The popular and viral children’s song has created a new record by becoming the most-watched video on YouTube. It has reached a massive seven BILLION views since it was released four years back, on June 17, 2016.

The song was created by a South Korean children’s educational company called Pinkfong. It is sung by 10-year-old Korean-American singer Hope Segoine.
However, before it made this iconic feat, it was already quite the hit! The song became an international hit by acquiring the 32nd spot on the Billboard Hot 100 (Billboard Hot 100 is the music industry standard chart in the United States for songs) in January 2019, and well as making it to the UK Top 40 list.

With its vibrant visuals and catchy tune, the song became an instant favourite of toddlers and parents alike. The two-minute song video features some animated baby sharks underwater and children singing ‘Baby Shark dooo doo doo doo doo’ in unison.

The simple dance steps in the video are a hit too and are extremely popular with children and adults. In fact, some movie stars have taken up the ‘Baby Shark Challenge’ online to see who can do the ‘doo doo doo’ better!
